About Us

The St. Thomas Police Association (STPA) is a organization of professional police personnel, dedicated to pursuing the best interests of its members on a local, provincial and national stage. By organizing and representing its members, the STPA aims to make policing a safe and satisfying career choice, so that the community of St. Thomas gets the very best policing possible.

Mission

To unite fraternally and to promote the mutual interests of its members; to uphold the honor of the Police Profession; to elevate the standards of police service and to provide financial or other assistance to any member in accordance with this Constitution and any Regulations approved by the Association.

Our members strive to make positive impact within our community both on duty and off duty. We aim to give back to the community that has been so supportive of its men and women in blue. Community Involvement

The St. Thomas Police Association is actively involved in the community and supports many charities within the City of St. Thomas. Our members take pride in giving back to the community through volunteerism and monetary donations.

The organizations that have been supported include Grace Cafe, Inn out of the Cold, Paws for Logan, Special Olympics, St. Thomas Minor Baseball, St. Thomas Soccer Club, St. Thomas Crime Stoppers, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas, STEGH Foundation and Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing Days.

Objectives

  • To unite and promote the mutual interests of it's members;
  • To uphold the honour of the police profession;
  • To elevate the standards of police service;
  • To provide financial or other assistance to any member, in accordance with the Constitution of the Association, and any regulations approved by the Association;
  • To bargain collectively and act as a collective bargaining agent;
  • To promote the good and welfare of its members
  • To represent all present and former members;
  • To unite or affiliate with other organizations of police personnel, local, provincial, national or international.

STPA Spring Fling

The STPA Spring Fling – April 5th
Tickets are now available and include a drink, a donation to #IveGotYourBack911, a late-night bite, and a Photo Booth. We’ve secured the same DJ and decorator as last year, and the CASO Station will be beautifully transformed with a Secret Garden theme.
 
We’ve removed the formality for this year’s event—so come dressed in your best spring florals, pastels, or other spring-inspired attire!
